Extraordinary appointment to PensionDanmarks CEO
PensionDanmarks CEO has been appointed member of Advisory Board to OECDs new Centre on Green Finance and Investment.
OECDs new Centre on Green Finance and Investment was launched at the third OECD Green Investment Financing Forum taking place last week in Tokyo.
OECD has taken the initiative to establish a new Centre on Green Finance and Investment to ensure, that investment in the green economy takes place on a far greater scale over the coming decades than up to now. It is necessary if we are to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement from December 2015.
The mission for the new Centre is to support and catalyse the transmission to a green, low-emissions and climate-resilient global economy by producing policy-oriented research and analysis on green investment and finance, and thereby contribute to the development of effective policies, instruments and institutions for green finance and investment.
OECD establishes an Advisory Board to the new Centre on Green Finance and Investment composed of experts from a range of sectors including government, industry, academia and philanthropic foundations. PensionDanmarks CEO Torben Möger Pedersen has been appointed member of Advisory Board.
“I am very honoured to be member of Advisory Board to OECDs new Centre on Green Finance and Investment. I am looking forward to share the ideas and thoughts we have in PensionDanmark, as well as I am looking forward to be inspired by the other members of Advisory Board. These members are very competent persons, as a minor Danish investor rarely are in touch with”, says Torben Möger Pedersen about the appointment for the next three years.
The Green Investment Financing Forum will be the new Centre‘s main global event held annually in the margins of the international climate negotiations, G20 Summit and Global Forum on Responsible Business Conduct.
